I believe in the power of teaching differently because children are our future. That means that our future depends on how we nurture and encourage the minds of the children we care for, not how well they do a math sheet. To change the world means that we have to get children excited about learning, teach them to question what already exists. RECE’s are the foundation for this change. We are the stepping stones for early learning, early language, friendships and so much more. Being an educator is important to me to because i get to be here for every step of that. I come from a big family, for me that means that we take care of each other and that’s whats its like to work at east end scholars. We are all here, we all support each other, and we all shape the smallest minds during their most critical periods. We will change the world because everyday we teach, encourage, support, nurture and love change makers.

- As my profession Early childhood education provides me an opportunity to help my little rising stars to shine brighter in their fortunate sky. As an educator this is my responsibility to enlighten the path of the small shining stars. This profession not only allow me to teach but also gives me an opportunity to learn. I am a patient educator who collaborates successfully with children, parents, and staff and committed to encourage children toward empathy by teaching them to share and be attuned to one another’s feelings.

I believe the environment plays a major role in the success of an early childhood program. It should enhance the children’s interests in all developmental domains. I believe learning in an early childhood environment is done most successfully through stations that can be visited, explored, and revisited again and again. The environment should take into consideration the social skills, communication skills, physical abilities or challenges, and learning styles of the children being served. I consider families a vital aspect of my program. Parents who are able to spend time in the classroom occasionally are more aware of the details of their child’s day. Observing what goes on first hand helps a parent know what to ask the child at the end of the school day.”
